Greetings from the KGV School Admissions Office.
If you are withdrawing your child at the end of this academic year, please submit the Student Withdrawal Form via the ESF App on or before 30 April. Otherwise, we will assume that your child is returning after summer and parents are liable to the tuition fees for September even if the student does not return to school.
If a student leaves part way through the school year, attendance on any day in a particular month renders school fees payable for the entire month.
Please note that Years 11, 12 and 13 students, who may not attend normal classes during April, May and June, are still required to pay the full annual fee. The last day of attendance is deemed to be the last day of academic year (26 June 2026).
The withdrawal form is not applicable to Year 13 students who will be graduating from KGV School this academic year.
Please contact us at admissions@kgv.edu.hk if you have any questions regarding the withdrawal procedure.

Dear IB May 2026 candidate
As you are aware, the final IB examinations begin on April 27 2026. The full examination period lasts for four weeks and during this time Diploma students will be taking between 10 and 16 examinations in various subjects. Therefore your preparations for all of these examinations should be well under way. For many there will not be much time between the end of one exam and the beginning of the next for further preparation.
The last formal day of classes for IB Diploma students is Wednesday 15th April. Although there will be no scheduled lessons after this time, your teachers will be available during the times when they would normally be teaching you. If you do wish to speak to them during this time then please email them in advance. In the meantime please use the Easter break sensibly to continue your exam preparation. We wish you all the best.

Time to try a musical instrument or take up a second one (Pianists especially!). The instruments listed above are in demand and we want to encourage students to have a go. This will likely lead to opportunities in our orchestras, jazz band, rock bands etc.
Please get in touch if this is something that you would like to try - we may be able to loan you an instrument and help with setting up lessons with a teacher.
We also have the YRock CAS programme that will be open soon for term 3 sign up (Guitar, Drums, Bass Guitar, Keyboard).
Best wishes and get in touch if you want to learn more.

Dear KGV Families,
Due to field resurfacing and adjacent drainage work between 28th March and 17th May, there will be a temporary traffic arrangement on Sheung Kin Street. During this period, the left lane leading towards the school gate will be closed.
If you drive your child to school to school, please avoid prolonged parking and U-turns on Sheung Kin Street during morning drop-off hours. Vehicles should exit from the back gate onto Sheung Shing Street after the drop off.
In the afternoon, the bus lineup formation may need to be adjusted. We will coordinate with the bus companies in advance to ensure a smooth transition. If your child takes a school bus, it will be helpful to discuss potential changes with them and encourage them to reach out to school staff or the school office if they need assistance. Also, during the above-mentioned period, we recommend allowing extra time for travel.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and assure you that we are collaborating closely with the contractor, the Traffic Department, and the Police to minimise disruption.
Thank you for your understanding.
Best regards,
Mark Poulsum

The First Aid activity is provided by our external partners, which requires an additional fee of $2,655 for 9 lessons. (IMPORTANT: Read the disclaimer)
Accidents happen when we least expect it and many people find themselves caught in emergency situations with no training. The Emergency Responder ECA offers students the opportunity to gain internationally accredited qualifications for CPR/First Aid, offering an approachable, methodical, and fun way for students to learn essential life-saving skills, as well as drilling them in a number of rescue scenarios they may face in real life so that they can be better prepared!
Students will earn a 2-year certification in CPR, First Aid, and AED use for emergencies involving Adult, Child, and Infant patients. This qualification is recognised in over 175 countries and can be used towards university or job applications, as well as programs such as CAS and AYP.
There are 21 spots for this class, and the class will only run with a minimum of 4 sign-ups.
2025-2026 Term 3 Wednesday 3:30-4:30 in PE2.
Dear Students and Parents,
This is a notice to remind students and parents that CAS activities will run until Friday, 20 March. A few sports, performing arts, and a select few other activities will continue due to the pressures of their seasons, performance dates, and external factors. The timeline for CAS activity sign-up is to create a fair and equitable process during the transition between term 2 and term 3.
Important Dates:
For all things related to the activities program, check the KGV CAS Activities website (KGV CAS Website). Information on how to sign up, withdraw, allocate, and obtain parental approval can be found here.
Note: Due to the pitch closure across Terms 2 and 3, the CAS program has had to make adjustments. This means that some development programs will not run during these terms, and training for certain sports may have to take place off-site. Students impacted by these necessary changes will be notified directly, and all relevant information will be shared with them and also made available on Lionel.
Finally, be sure to check out what is NEW for Term 3:
Sports:
Music and Performing Arts
Student-Led CAS
Please remember: Registration is NOT on a first-come, first-served basis. All students registered will be placed on the waiting list until the end of the registration period. If the number of enrolments exceeds the maximum number of participants, Lionel will randomly draw names to allocate only those who have been pre-approved by parents to join the activity.
Thank you
The CAS Team

Dear KGV,

By volunteering, you are directly contributing to Environmental stewardship, Social awareness, and the Governance of our campus—values that revolve around a sustainable tomorrow.
We are calling for:

Writers: crafting documentaries and infographics, transforming raw data into immersive narratives of our local flora.
Field researchers & data curators: organising the ecological data points and statistics of our campus.
Media Designers: building the digital home for our findings.
Whether your heart lies in environmental sciences, your strength in media production, or you simply wish to be part of the documentary process, we welcome your unique perspective and creative energy.

ROAR Sessions for Years 7 to 9 - Wednesday April 15th at lunchtime in the GLT.
Hey everybody!
We are Shivansh and Yerin, the current Heads of Student Council, and we are more than excited to announce the second ever edition of the KGV ROAR Sessions happening on Wednesday April 15th at 1:30 in the GLT. We have had the great privilege to carry on this initiative from the incredible previous Heads of Student Council, Riya and Kashish, who had hosted the first edition in September 2025.
If you have any constructive feedback or issues you’ve experienced, no matter how small or big, please join us for this session as any feedback is extremely valuable to improving our school. With the feedback we receive from the respectful and constructive discussions you all will hopefully lead, we want to identify recurring areas for improvement and bring meaningful change to our school through purposeful actions. Furthermore, plenty of snacks will also be provided and you are more than welcome to bring your lunch.
Mr Carrell, Mr Glover and Mr McAlpine will also be present at this session to answer any questions regarding our switch away from Lionel and towards Toddle.
The session for this term will be focusing on Years 7 to 9 and next term we will hopefully be looking for feedback from Years 10 to 12.
We hope you all have an excellent break and we can’t wait to see you all at this session!
If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to email either myself, (at naiks2@kgv.hk) or Yerin (at kangy5@kgv.hk)
