Opportunity to join the live stream of ESF’s largest inter-school Esports Tournament
ESF is staging its largest inter-school Esports Tournament on Saturday, 3 June. This incredible event will see 25 student teams from across our schools come together to demonstrate their skills using this year’s chosen computer game - Minecraft. Minecraft was selected by our teachers and students, who are big fans of the game. It encourages players to collaborate creatively and problem-solve while tackling building challenges and immersing themselves in imaginative adventure-style puzzles. The tournament will be live-streamed on the ESF Facebook page, where parents can watch and support our talented KGV students with encouraging comments and Likes.
Leaving KGV?
If you withdraw your child at the end of this academic year, please submit the student withdrawal notice via the ESF App by 1 June 2023. Otherwise, ESF will assume that your child is returning after summer, and parents will be liable for the tuition fees for September 2023, even if the student does not return to school.
Should you have any queries regarding the above, please get in touch with our Admissions Team at admissions@kgv.edu.hk
I hope you have a great weekend.
Kind Regards
Mark Blackshaw
Principal KGV
Year 8 & 9 Message
This week has been ACTION packed with the Year 9 Community Project. Year 9 groups advocated for several causes, from the homeless people in HK, stray pets and mental health to uneven food distribution and food waste. Actions included a range of collections, drives and fundraising opportunities. Year 9 students created videos/campaigns posted on the bulletin and around the school on noticeboards. This work was highlighted in tutor time, showcased to the Year 8 students and encouraged them to discuss and engage in the issues the Year 9’s attempted to highlight.

Year 10 Message
Assessments continued for Year 10 this week and some are feeling the pressure. Please remind your child that these assessments are practice and are to provide them with motivation to study and helpful feedback. We don't want students to be feeling anxious or worried.
In assembly this week Mr Fisher talked at length about how the KGV experience is more than just academic results and that all students will be meeting with their tutors over the next few weeks to discuss where they are and what they want to achieve going forward.
Year 11 Message
There have been a lot of exams already this week and we'll be in school tomorrow for Buddha's birthday and four more GCSE exams.
Next week there are no exams, so students will have a chance to rest and then prepare thoroughly for the ones remaining.
